Transitions and the importance of the practices

Transition!

I hope you're well and finding your center in the midst of whatever shifting is happening in your world.

I’m back!

We made a really big transition, which has held a lot of my energy and attention.

In this year marking the arrival to the half century point of my life, I moved my kiddo and myself across the country. We have returned to the Northeast corner of the US.

I'm really proud of what we just did - and in record time.

It’s been a tremendous feat, with more challenges and more work than I could have imagined (and I'd imagined a lot) – and also so much more joy, support, connection and possibility than I could have anticipated.

There are so many takeaways...

- around the wisdom gained and lessons learned

- on engaging courage to do the thing that’s been calling you to do for years

- trusting the trust fall

- gaining new tools for new environments

- recalibration when the world you’d imagined isn’t quite as it seemed (and how what it seemed may no longer even be the right or necessary thing)

- nervous system regulation and how having my system regulated helps my child's to also be regulated...

but I’m still reflecting, digesting and integrating. So once these reflections are ready to be good community medicine, there will be more to share.

The BIG Takeaway

For now, the big takeaway that has helped give me stability and predictability through this enormous transition?

  • Those self-care practices I do, teach and coach on - they are essential in times of big change.

  • Maintaining my morning routine – of yoga, movement, meditation and inner quieting – helps me get clear every day, to show up for my son, people I love, people in my programs, and the world – in the way I want to.

  • Walking my talk - doing those nervous system, energetic and spiritual practices every single day (and they don’t have to take a long time) have helped me remember what I’m doing and who I am, to find the calm, to steady my nervous system, and to experience growth and transformation through the transitions.

How do YOU manage through transitions?

What helps you to find stability and predictability amidst change?

I’d love to hear from you.

And a loving reminder that the more you tend to your own body, heart and being, the more you can show up well for those you serve and love.

For when you're well, regulated and cared for, that ripples out - in ways seen and unseen.

The world needs you well.

With love and many blessings,
Kelly
